Greenbrier Montessori - where the future grows

The Children's House Classroom

Welcome to the Children’s House.

The students in this classroom are working on age appropriate skills to help them become life long learners.  These children are focusing on the next step in their educational journey, laying a solid foundation for their future. They are fine tuning what they experienced in the Cottage Classroom.  The children learn kindergarten readiness skills in this warm and inviting environment.  This is a literacy based classroom with the goal to enrich vocabulary and language development as well as all other academic concepts.Children thrive in this classroom that is designed to meet their individual educational needs.
In a multi-aged classroom, the students benefit from peer mentoring.  The younger children look to the older children for guidance. The older students proudly share their knowledge with their younger friends.  Learning from a great friend is beneficial to the children of both ages.  Another advantage of a Montessori based classroom is the many "one on one" lesson students receive personally from their teachers.
